    Need rear track control arms

Im currently in the middle of taking the subrames off for powder coating.

The rear track control arms are the only bits causing me a problem.

Where can I get replacements as I think I will have to butcher them to et them off

    Thanks

I bought one (UR I think) that was too short for an S2, once the wheel was aligned you only had a couple of threads of engagement.

There are different lengths and different mount points on the rear subframes.

The straight ones don't work on the B3 they need to be curved to clear the chassis.

                    Maybe

That company does not actually have items in stock, they just list everything their suppliers list and then send it to you if you buy it. Be prepared to have to wait. I have bought a couple of things as I had time to wait, but definitely paypal as I needed to dispute to get my money back with a couple of items.

You may be lucky and they will come right off, mine did, despite look really crusty, the 10mm allen bolt came out without too much bother.

Then I assessed them for wear, and just replaced the boots with new ones from Ebay, painted and refitted, job done

Well one of them, the bolt has almost come off but the spindle is now just spinning so I cant get the bolt off. There does not seem to be anywhere to grip the spindle to stop it spinning?

I assume you mean nut on the rod end, not bolt? In which case yes, that happens, but a cheap set of nut splitters gets it off very easily, I had to do this with mine too, but a set of nut splitters is a tenth of the cost of a new arm.

Replacement nuts are metric fine, you'll probably need to order theses in or see a fasteners, but they aren't expensive at all.

Use a good strong wire brush, maybe even in a drill to clean the threads up, if the new nut still won't spin on freely, run a die up it to clean the thread and job done, £250 saved.
