steering rack

hi all. there are a lot of codes for steering rack..someone know what are the differences, if there are, between the older steering rack, like 811 422 065F, and the newer 8A1 422 065J (3B) or 895 422 065C (ABY and RS2)?

So you're saying that an ABY S2 has a 'slower' rack than an ADU RS2 ?

I had thought these two were the same ?

Me too.

I thought that the racks for 3B, ABY and RS2 were all 2.6 turns, lock to lock. The only difference being the 3B was a servotronic the newer ones not...

I couldn't detect any difference when changing from an ABY rack to a rebuilt RS2 rack...

LHD & RHD are different. All RHD ABY & RS2 racks are the same - 3B is longer ratio, 3.2

Apologies Alex, so is there a difference between the number of turns lock to lock between a LHD ABY/ADU steering rack and a RHD ABY/ADU steering rack ?

What exactly does the servotronic do on the 3b steering rackrack?

Adjusts the level of assistance depending on the vehicle speed, ligher steering at low speeds, heavier at higher speeds.
