Hi can anyone tell me are 3b and aby complete struts interchangeable from 1 car to the other , as they seem to list different part no, many thanks paul.

Yes and no. The early 3B had M12 strut to hub bolts. At some point they changed to M14. So a bit of a lottery if you have the right sized strut to hub bolts.Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt

As above the early 3B's had 12mm strut to hub bolts, they changed some time in 1991 as far I know.
My car had one of each when I got it...1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.
1992 C4 2.8 Avant quattro
1994 MTM RS2.
1998 B5 TDI quattro Sport.
