034 Short Ratio steering rack concerns

    Hello All

Been using search function within different sections and unable to find a thread I swear I remember seeing about negative concerns regarding the 034 short ratio steering racks.

I just had the second new power steering pump take a dump on me over the weekend...Now have lovely power steering fluid spray everywhere inside engine compartment all over new components!

If anyone here recalls seeing that information, please paste the link here?

    Cheers
    Thank you!

It was Mal that has issues with one in his S1 build, not sure if it was resolved or he used a different rack?

You have connected a electric power steering column to it?

You are running the small chassis PS pump and not a large chassis one, correct?

                Yes, correct.

1st replacement blew the seals due to not removing the piston, as I was not informed by consultant to perform this action, for a port no longer to be used.

2nd pump failure to be determined per autopsy report.
