Steering arm question.

Having a bit of a fight on my hands with replacing track rod ends on my b4 .
I was under the impression the arm and rack side mount were one piece however I've loosened the arm and its rotating at the neck just before the joint and bracket on the rack side.
Is this a threaded part aswell or have I just knackered the arm ?

No, there isn't any adjustment on the inbound end of the trackrod. From memory, the inbound sections are pressed together and don't rotate.
