    URS6 - Eibach Springs versus H&R Springs ?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eibach-Pro-K...FUfMux&vxp=mtr

Does anyone have experience of these Eibach springs compared to H&R 29800 springs ?

I'm thinking Eibach may be a bit softer ?

Can't immediately see how much the Eibach spring lower an UrS6 ? I like the ride height of the H&R springs, but softer would be better again when using Bilsteins.

Too many poor quality road repairs to traverse.

    Thanks for any feedback.

In my experience H&R + bilsteins gives superb sporty ride quality and perfect for street. I doupt there would be much difference with Eibach spring which also are high quality sport springs.

No experience with H&R but absolutely like the Eibachs! Bear in mind part numbers when ordering

I use H&R 29800 meant for C3 on my avant urS4 with Koni yellows and absolutely love how the combo works. Stiff when cornering with this house, but rather comfortable while just cruising around. 80% stiffness on Koni's and perfect for me.

Sits 35 cm from the wheel arch in the front and 35,5 at the rear. Looks very even from the side.

Sorry I didn't type the H&R spring code number correctly in my first post.

I typed 29000 instead of 29800. First post now corrected.

@Thuppu agreed Bilstein and H&R is a good combination, but as Chris says, I think I am getting older. All bushes are oem.

But also I feel with the Bilstein & HR springs combined with the 255/35/18 on 8 x 18 Mk 1 S8 rims and the tyres at 40psi while the car is 'tight' it feels as if I'm jarring the car more than I'd like with badly repaired roads. It is perfect on smooth roads and no lean on roundabouts. And the H&Rs have the perfect amount of lowering for me / my car, any more of a drop and it would be kissing the underneath on speed 'pillow' ramps, or see-sawing in multi-storey car parks.

I always got the impression from reading the net that Eibachs were slightly softer than H&R. Don't like the stance of higher at the back than the front. Prefer the level 'stance' at both ends.

KW1 or KW3 would be the ideal, but the budget doesn't stretch that far.

With the Lotto I'd love to have a set of Ohlins made up.

Notwithstanding the above, thanks for the feedback so far.

Here just after installation, slightly higher than now as it settled a bit lower.

I had both eibach and h&r . Eibach is higher (almost the same height as 1BE springs)and more harshness than H&R

about 10k km difference bw the two photos i think my Eibachs settled a bit. A bit soft in hard cornering but very stable and predictable. 235/45/17 summer and 225/50/17 winter tyres.

Both springs are good. It will just depend on your application and needs. H&R is just more firmer than eibach.
