I had my last two 4 wheel laser alignments done by this lot, IIRC it was about £110.00. Seem to be decent guys working there and the car came back feeling very good.

Took mine to get done recently after having new top mounts fitted and they sent me away telling me that I should get my tracking rods loosened before I think about doing the tracking? Apparently quite stiff and alot of trouble on our vag cars.

Does this sound reasonable or have I just chosen a lazy garage that cant be arsed to loosen the nuts themselves?

P.s. whats involved in loosening the tracking rods, easy job?

If those rods are attached to the top of each shock........
well yeah theyre tight..... got told to loosen with heat (oxycetline) cause they had none there
yesterday I loosened them off by hand!!!! haha....
Youll need lots of lubricant (WD40) an open ended spanner to fit (think 22mm not sure used Adjustable--naughty)
And a pipe wrench....also take note which way they loosen by threads ... There are 4 nuts all in all........... ull need to shock load them (sudden application and leverage)..

Good Luck!! ....... oh and im looking for that number of the alignment garage in London still ..... will post asap

PS:Audi man..... whats up with dialynx? ..... loads of their leaflets came with my car

I have given up on wheel alignment!!! after having the stealers do it twice, and QR sport, it just will not be perfect. QR sport managed to get my wheel to point straight, but still pulls to the side (this is the closest i will get to perfect alignment).. i have accepted this now and will not waste more money trying to fix it.

Pulling to one side can be caused by uneven tyre wear too, if the tyres are scrubbed on one side this can make it pull. Also a sticky brake might do the same. BTDT.

I dont like Dialynx, i know too many stories, some of which are not for public viewing. I am still waiting for a phone call from Keith when I enquired about Motec ECU's. This was back in December!!! I was only gonna spend a few grand possibly!

                Simple as that really.

How much do Church Garages Charge? There wasn't enough time at the garage meeting to do mine as things ran over Saturday.

They could not do my one, the car is too low and the equipment is not that good either.
Thanx for the number any way.

Had it done again at protyres in Enfield, very good service and top equipment with corect car details.
They adjusted caster, toe and other bits, the price is fantastic at around £ 40 you can not go wrong.

Bad news is car still floats and crashes over bumps and holes in the road, I am getting very desperate to get this sorted, I will take suspension to bits and look at the top mounts (6 months old) next weekend
