my gearbox!! help!!

hi ive got a 3b s2.......... 5 speed...... took it out for a whole day (hot day) ever since ive had a strange sound develop from transmission... it was the same day we had a mini meet in bedfordshire.....

it only sounds when gear and driving.... sounds like a tooth has come out .... now its getting worse...... any ideas on what i should do?


One mechanic says ill need to get a second hand g/b if so u know where i can get one?

ive phoned a company.... they reckon they can re-condition it all for £450????


your thoughts peeps...... especially the mechanics out there ........ hint .... audiman????

If you need a used replacement box PM or ask SAL. He may have a few in and they wont be expensive

didn,t they answer or?? does they dont have trannys?? buy a second hand,dont try to repair the old ones,its VERY expencive parts in........ you may use trannys from diesel too,they all engines after 92 have the same boltpattern...after 95 they have the strongest ones

Im replacing my gearbox soon, so my 6 speed will be up for grabs

I need to sort out single mass flywheel and uprated clutch first tho.
Are you sure its gearbox tho???
