    For this conversion, you'll need:

    Audi S2 (ABY) transmission mounts
    Audi S2 (ABY) selector rod / s
    Audi S2 (ABY) front subframe
    Audi S2 front driveshafts
    Audi S2 (ABY) propshaft
Audi S2 (ABY) clutch slave cylinder

Depending on what clutch you decide to use, you'll need:

    Audi S2 (ABY) flywheel
    Audi S2 (ABY) clutch
Audi S2 (ABY) spacer ring between transmission and engine

If you decide to use your existing clutch / flywheel assembly, delete the spacer ring, else you'll never be able to bleed the system, as the distance between the clutch release bearing and the clutch pressure plate will be too great.

You can use your existing clutch master cylinder if you use your 7A clutch / flywheel assembly, but if using the ABY dual mass set up, I would replace it with an ABY item. The dual mass clutch / flywheel set up makes the clutch heavier, using a stock 7A / 3B clutch master will cause problems later, as the rod bends under the greater pressure, causing a non - returning pedal.

Not too rain on a fellow Yanks question but.....

1/ Why would you waste money on a tranny mod on a model to be honest does not
have the HP to even utilize such a trans?
2/ Have you any idea how hard it would be to source the parts that have been
graciously listed here? Not too speak of the immense expense of having it shipped
too the States and.....then paying some one to put it into the car?
3/ What would be better way to spend your money is to drop a 20VT engine into your
CQ. Then if you think you need the S4 tranny, go for it. My 2cents

Ok I've seem that is a lot work to do, but the car is not stock Audi coupe. It has 7A Fully built blue printed forged botton end and RS2 20VT head ported polished and 1mm bigger SS valves with 7A exhaust cams and Custom made intake cam. The car still have stock 7A drivetrain. The next step will be the 6 speed conversion from 2000 S4 and V8 rear diff swap. The clutch will be some like kevlar custom made. Not sure what to use, but any ideas? I know for the 7A botton end I will have to use 7A flywheel. Am I right?
        Thanks

          Audi S2 (ABY) front subframe
          you can make spacers instead

          Audi S2 (ABY) propshaft
you can shorten yours by 25mm

Depending on what clutch you decide to use, you'll need:

          Audi S2 (ABY) flywheel
          7A/3B is better
          A
          udi S2 (ABY) clutch
          no need see above
Audi S2 (ABY) spacer ring between transmission and engine
          no need

have done this mod on a 7A car IMHO a good mod

          regards
          will

            how does this spacers look?

I assume it's the same procedure on any 6speed trans conversion? (s4TT, A4 TDI, RS2, ABY etc..)

Think the TDI has been done on other forums, if any details can be found be interesting as the box would be able to deal with high torque levels i would imagine.

Won't there be an issue of strange ratios using a TDI box?

The 1.9TDi (FTT) has the same gearing on 5th gear as a CBM 'box from a S6 has on the 6th gear. The 6th gear on the TDi box is...loooong.

                    More info on 01E's:

I'd say that the DGV box from a A8/S8 is the best box (better than RS2!!!). Not only does it have the wide gear, it has the flexible axle and also provisions for oilcooling. The gearing diffrs abit too, as the DGV has a wee bit shorter 6th gear. It's also cheaper than the overpriced RS2 box. Go DGV!

I was thinking of the tdi box because of a few things: not overpriced, easy to find, should be strong (tdi tourqe), and simular ratio but al long 6th wich is nice on the highway

the DGV box was interesting problably not that easy to find though..
