    Flywheel and Pully Weight Q

Does anybody know the weight of a 7A flywheel?

And the weight of the pully for a 7A and 3B?

On both items the 7A and 3B show different part numbers in ETKA, could there be any other difference other than the weights?

    Thanks,

    Mark.

    Hi Mark,

    Those weights are:
    7A flywheel 11,130 grams
    7A pulley 4,350 grams
    3B pulley 4,280 grams
The only difference I can see is the weight of them Mark, nothing else. They both run the same belts, same cam belt pulley, same crank... has to be just down to weight.

Sweet, so it looks like both 7A items weight slightly more. Makes sense i guess, larger pistons, more moving mass etc.

I don’t suppose you would know the ABY pulley weight off hand too? I'm 99% sure it’s heavier as it has the grooved alternator belt pulley which is wider.

Answered my question though, its 3B items i need

Apologies bit of an old thread...

Just got my 7a flywheel back from Automark, it now weighs in at 8.85kg. Just need to order a driven plate and I'm almost ready for the 6 speed swap...

Sounds good, wish i had mine lightened too. I recently drove a 3B with an alloy flywheel, (fidenza i think). Really liked it, made the engine much more responsive. Biggest benefit i found was going down through the gears, could do it much quicker as the engine responds instantly to blips of the throttle. Have to say i didnt notice any down sides to it at all, would really suit the character of a UR IMO.
