    Front drive shaft questions

    First

    Most of you know I am converting my 7a coupe quattro to aby spec and beyond.


    So.. I am curious.

    Will my 7a drive shafts handle Rs2 spec?
    Will they handle Mihnea's 440tq chipset?
    Are Rs2 drive shafts better than S2?
    Will Rs2 drive shafts work with a 7a setup?

    I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

    Your 7A driveshafts will handle the power. The S2 / 7A shafts are the same part number, so no problems there. My type 85 Coupe quattro with RS2 spec engine (426PS, 411.3 lbs/ft) used the original shafts with no problems whatsoever. I think the problem of stripped shafts only seems to afflict Golfs and the like.
