street racing-what about trans and axles

just read th clutch threads,there you can easily acces racing cluthes, but what i am wondering is = the transmission and the axles? do they handle 7000rpm take offs?

Timucin,
the only issue that I am aware of with regard to the strength of the transmission when booting it from standstill is the early six speed box had a narrower first gear cog that could shed a tooth. The later ones had a wider gear fitted in its place. More info here:

From earlier today.

I've never heard of any problems with any of the diffs though.....maybe someone else has?
