All of a sudden I can't engage 1st and struggle to get it into 2nd. In addition, it is not that easy to get into 3rd. All other gears, including Reverse is fine. I don't think it has anything to do with the clutch as you have the same problem with the engine off.
Has anybody got any idea what the problem could be? My mechanic has checked the gear linkage and that seems ok - he is now busy taking out the gearbox as we speak. I guess with the gearbox out I's better look at fitting a new Sachs clutch - the clutch occasionally slips when I do a hard launch and I think the car is now producing 400 bhp - haven't had a chance to dyno it again.
