I am amazed it last as long as it did!!!

This is the remains of my clutch release bearing, compared to the new. Sounded like hell on earth but still drove.

Why replace it? There's loads of life left in it.

Tell you what, considering the car has 215k on the clock, it still had the original clutch (date stamped) and was actually an Luk item made for Audi, I was only able to get an Luk item as a replacement and was not happy at this as I didn't have time to get an uprated item and Sach's version was made from unobtainium but it gave me some sense of relief when I saw the Luk stamp on the original item.
          Time will tell...

The inner race of the bearing still rotates and it was because of this that I was able to still drive it.
