does anyone have the gearbox bracket for passenger side of s2!!!!or no how much they are new???

Vagparts do them for around £85 each. I had to buy both last year.

would it be the same mounting as on certain coupes/80/90???Might have to go hunting round the breakers!Is it common for these brackets to break?

6 speed mount is specific.
Whether or not one from another car can be modified i couldnt tell you tho.

I lokked into that Ant but;
Unfortunatly they are only used on the S2 Coupe/Avant and the RS2 6 speed boxes (gearboxes CGR and CRB)
Not heard of them breaking, I had to replace both only because I snapped them both in a crash.

Think the s2 has had a hard life before me then!!So the bracker is only used on s2 coupe then and no other models???Oh and 5 speed is different to 6 speed?

Yes they are different 5speed to 6speed.
