Will an RS2 clutch fit an S4?

Are there any major differences between the RS2 and the UrS4 clutch? Can I use an RS2 clutch on my '93 S4 (AAN engine)? Don't both these cars use the same 01e gearbox? Thanks guys!!

Looking at the family pics, the part no's are nearly the same

      RS2 plate 034141033A 240mm
      RS2 cover 077141117L 240mm
      Release bearing 01E144165B

      AAN Plate 034141033X 240 mm
      AAn Cover 077141117G/GX 240 mm
      AAN Bearing 01E141165

The complete kit is available exchange don't forget the guide bearing for the input shaft 01E141181A. Just had mine done in the S6 world of sidfference, i would say that there isn't a great deal of difference between the 2 clutches.

AAN plate is rigid, ADU is not.

Nearly the same numbers means nothing. They need to be exactly the same. First 3 = chassis, then 3 for the part group and 3 + possible suffixes to determine the part.

X makes an exception as it means the part is an exhange one. so G and GX is the same part, but when buying GX you must return the old one.

I agree. One number/letter can make a big difference.

I have bought a slightly used Sachs Race Engineering sinter clutch from a friend that used it on a ADU engine in his 80 quattro. He used it with the 6 speed gearbox and the doublemass flywheel. Since the S4 AAN engine also has the same flywheel and also has the 6 speed gearbox it should fit.........right ???
