    double/dual mass flywheel

    hi

Is there someone here that got a dobbel mass flywheel to sale
The flywheel must come from a ADU Rs2.
And it must be in good shape.
I have moved an install three flywheels now, because all of them has given me shaking in the car .
    Not in balance.
This is strange since 2 of them is orginal parts.
someone know how they can be, not in balance?

Hey Sorry my bad English..hope you understand

there is a dual mass flywheel on german ebay at the moment.

You could loook at a single mass or ally flywheel instead too.

"Not in balance" is because of the rubber damper inside the flywheel is on it's way out. This will cause vibration.

I'm moving to an aluminium flywheel so when it is fitted and running I'll have my dual mass flywheel from AAN engine available. PM me if interested.

The dual mass flywheel also uses an unsprung clutch plate. The rubber damper in the flywheel absorbes the driveline shunt. When switching to Alloy or 3B flywheel you'll need a sprung hub aswell then

Do you need a 3B type clutch then?

Yes, the 3B pressure plate and clutch plate are both different then the dual mass ones.

Can you show us what exactly this is? Is it a Clutch plate with Springs?

The other Question i have is that the 7A flywheel i want to install has "normal" bearing in the Center but the RS2 has a "needle" bearing. Why is the Difference, should i change th eBearing on the 7A flywheel and why?

                        Thanks for your Help

the diff bearing are for the diff trannys(centring of clutch shaft)... if you want singelmass flywheel, you does have to use the clutchplate WITH springs anyway.
http://www.clutchnet.com/make/selMake.html like some models here. the 6puck senter with springs....

Jeffer, isn't the ABY/ADU clutch disc sprung eventhough it's used with dual mass wheel. AAN clutch disc is solid.

And to the original question: Might it be possible your crank has been balanced? I mean if it has been balanced after factory at some rebuild with your original flywheel and now when replacing the wheel you get vibrations...? Maybe?

Bad shape dual mass wheel should give vibrations on max torque only, right? Not always. No experience.

And you may use solid discs with 3B flywheels. The springs are there mainly to save gearbox gears from shocks.
