WHOLE DRIVESHAFT when the center bearing goes? Why do they not just suggest to replace just the bearing?
I don't understand the logic of it? What is their logic for this expensive & totally uneccesary
replacement?
centre bearing (Febi/Bilstein Part Nº 05196) and the CV joints (Löbro (OEM) CV-joint Part Nº 301142/Porsche Part Nº 923 332 032 00)
Febi 05196 is BMW GSF part number B51050 approx £13 plus VAT
CV joint is GSF part number P43828 approx £40 each plus VAT
Now that is a top reply!
Go on be honest, how long????

just for the record the bmw centre bearing is not exactly the same as the audi one, from memory it has a differnt compound rubber,(could be wrong on what is differnt so dont shoot me) if you get your prop shaft overhauld by a "propper" no pun intended prop shaft person they wont recomend using the bmw one,
not saying it wont work, or that the sun with die if you do, only relaying what i was advised
you know like with atmospheric dump valves/ looped out wgfv's/ boost controllers etc.
The BMW bearing option has been used loads of times, i remember the audi dealer i used to work for using one on typ 85 90 q saloon, no prizes for guessing who told them it was possible
