    Need your knowlwdge PLEASE.

Hi, hopefully you can help & advise what to do.
Sometimes the car is really bad at goin into 1st, needs forced. Also gear change
    is a bit dikky.
It does'nt like reverse all the time either. Not crunching, just hard to get it in.
Anyway, have now got a short shifter fitted, has been much better, but
    it aint solved the problem.
Also there is like a scratchy whirring as if it aint disengaging properly.
Ive been informed of a linkage problem, (but would that cause the noise)
but dont know/find the bit i need to get at.

Just want to get this sorted.

    Cheers
    Tina.

Sounds like the clutch is weraing out, the scratchy wirring sound could be release bearing.

          3B Gearboxes rule

Sounds like the clutch - I suppose also it might be worth checking the gearbox oil level?

if you have the doublemass flywheel, and the damper inside are gone,it will be difficult to use the tranny

                      i now know the problem.
Thanks Ant for being honest for as you not havin a problem with it.

As you can imagine how pist off i am & my bloke as he is getting my grief.
But i now have the diagrams (the ones jas posted when you had the problem)

So is this the real reason why you bought an S4 box ?????????
Its not the expense of gettin it sorted, its the sheer ignorance of the seller.

(like the boot lock thats fek'd...... no mention of that either)
