    Another DSY gearbox

    question

Well i have the rs2 linkage and the DSY(without oil pump) gearbox.
How in the world can i fit it in the 3B ?

I understand that i need to shorten the propshaft for about 2-2.5cm ,ok fine. But what to do with the mouting brackets ? I don't have any that fit this box and the subframe :/ , even if i will fit a spacers to subframe.

    Anyone can help ?
    Vadim.

You need the subframe and mounts from a sixspeed car (subframe can also come from a v6)

No you need the supports from a 6 speed 80/90/coupe. Part numbers are:

            8A0 399 113 E
            8A0 399 114 E

              mark: Thanks

And as I've understand there are no alternatives , only S2/RS2 ABY/ADU had these supports ? No other cars ? As it's kind of hard to find a second one parts for ABY/ADU , only 3B from where i live

              P.S.

Will original DSY support braket do , if i find any ?

I'm afraid so. The DSY support brackets are too tall to use with this subframe and sit too far back/forward (can't quite remember). You can modify the subframe to take the DSY supports but S4's/RS4's etc that use these supports tend to have a lot of transmission movement and require additional stabilisers. I can't be sure but my thinking is that the tall supports do not support the box as securely as the shallower S2/RS2 parts and allow too much movement of the box.

Mark I've bought the both supports.

                      114 E fit like a perfectly.

113 E doesn't fit at all :/ , it has 3 holes for bolts and the gearbox have 4. + it have free space when you mount it(a gap).

Btw they were 240GBP for two

                      Any ideas anyone ?
