Rear driveshafts - do they last?

So, comparing the rear shafts of a S2 Sedan/Avant with the coupe ones, the Coupe uses the samll 75mm braings and joints. The 82mm seem a bit more heavy duty. Have you guys ever seen this as a problem? I mean, they are quite a bit weaker. I'm mainly interested in how they've worked out on track and endurance racing.

Not sure how much torque is transmitted to the rear, but haven't heard of them busting yet...
