If I put the car in gear with the engine off and whilst depressing the clutch start the car, it is clear that the pedal does not disengage the clutch as the car jumps forward.

There are no odd noises from the gearbox though...

I'll have to check a bit later (when its stopped pissing with rain!) to see if the master cylinder push rod is bent...

      £770 later.

New clutch assembly, new slave cylinder, new gearbox and differential mounts and one pleased customer.

      Christmas came early.

        Hi J!

glad you got it fixed mate, and that she's running sweet again.

did you keep the flywheel the same and stuff?

        hopefully see you soon,

        Tim

          G'day Tim,

Yeah it all went back in standard...partly because a potential mystery buyer for the car wanted it stock anyway!

If the original clutch lasts 190K miles, that suggests some good engineering to me! I'm looking forward to another 190K miles.

          Now for more power....

I can help you with info about switching to SM 3b flywheel, did it myself a year ago.
I went with the sachs 707 pressureplate and 4 puck sinter.
