i cannot comment on S.African models, however, american cars had what is called ProCon10 which has metal cables that loop around the top of the gearbox....perhaps that hasn't been undone yet and it is holding the case in place. Otherwise, have you disconnected the shift linkage?

yes i did remove all the pro-con cables and the gear-link is it possible for the input shaft to twist and that it wont be able to pull trough the clutch plate because i did some heavy launching with it

Have you tried removing the front snubber bracket and tilting the engine slightly to get a better angle, also removing the track rods at the strut end normally helps

          chris,
since you have done all of that already, then my next best guess is that you simply need to wiggle (read: shake the tranny like hell) to get it out. the input shaft will indeed be a little stuck to the splines on the clutch disk and usually some good shakes will release the two. i don't think your hard launches or anything will affect this process. good luck!

You could loosen the engine mounts to lower the engine, try lifting the engine a bit, or just wiggle, this is when I come in handy @ our garage.

Have you loosen all the cables to it (speed-o) and so on? Try lowering the engine, sometimes the back of the tranny touches the steeringdamper. Try loosening those bolts and push it aside.
