Hi does anyone know if a s4 b5 clutch from the 2.7 bi turbo would work with a audi 80 tdi 1z flywheel ,i am planning to use the S2 6 speed box with this motor ,just seen one going cheap and thought it would be a nice upgrade ???

Not sure the mounting PCD of the 1Z clutch, but I'd have thought the A4 TDI flywheel would be a better match?Never show a fool a half built house.

Delta i want to stay with the solid flywheel not the later dual mass type,i believe a 228mm plate will fit my flywheel,getting the measurements from the S4B5 clutch to compare.

Actually you're in a bit trouble with the clutch. There is no bolt-on upgrade and Sachs race engineering doesn't make stiffer 228 "B4 type" covers anymore. Some other brand might be available. I'm interested in this too if you find some stiffer after market covers.
240 and 228 has different bolt circle diameter. Usually 240 covers are too big even if you'd have the mountings machined on a 228 flywheel.
Also notice that 4cyl engines use 6 bolt crank and others have more.
Completely custom flywheel to adapt S2 3B clutch would be optimal.-Comment

Also know of a A100/a6 c4 2.2quattro 228mm luk clutch kit ,wonder if this will fit?
