I have a CBL transmission , from an S6, with wider 1:st gear, does the internals from an earlier CBL transmission fit, without the wide 1:st gear, the reason I'm asking this is because my rebuild isn't going that great. The 2:nd and 3:rd gear is totally FUBAR. and the clutch shell (don't know the name in english) for the 2:nd and 3:rd gear is also gone , round edges and I can't fix it with a file. The 1'st and 2'nd gear is together so the old one really needs to fit wit the new one if you know what I mean, I want to keep the wide 1:st gear.
So my question is, can i get internals from any 6-speed tranny with 4:11 final drive, or must I have the CBL with wide 1:st gear internals. When I look in etka it was all the same no matter the year for the CBL transmission, the synchros and the pinion and so on, so in theory the old CBL internals should fit, but maybe someone here knows this.
Or maybe someone has these parts laying on the shelf, wanting to part with them for a good price.
