Gearbox Mounting are they Directional Urgent Help Needed

Both my new original Audi gearbox mountings have an X ground into the top plate does anybody know if the gearbox mounting are directional?

The original on the drivers side that came off does not have any marks.

Please help I am right in the middle of replacing the mountings

dont think so. flat side up and thats it

Well they fitter both ways. Looks like it does not matter.

Still don't know what the X is for.

I only decided to change them because they were old. Good job I did the rubbers on both had separated.
