    Auto Trans Faults Codes

    Hello,
I have a 1993 Audi b4 80 with 2.3e and auto trans. The trans stays in 1st gear and will not shift into a high gear. The VAG-COM scan gives me the following codes:

Address 02: Auto Trans Labels: None
    Part No: 097 927 731 CJ
    Component: AG4 Getriebe 097 1265
    Coding: 00000

    2 Faults Found:

    34-10 - No Elaboration Available - Intermittent
    00652 - Gear Monitoring
    27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Could somebody please tell me where these components are and what to do with them. Also, if there is anything else I need to know to troubleshoot this my car.

    Thanks for your support!

Maybe this info can help you: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00652 Personally i would have checked the Multi-Function Switch (F125?) first (located on the gearbox).

Take a look at this site: https://nemiga.com/cat_spares/etka/audi/a80/114/927500/

If your gearbox is a AAZ, then it is part number 13 in the link above.

Did you check if the trans has enough oil?

from my experience once the gear monitoring fault shown, most of the time your gearbox needs overhaul soon.
