Speed Sensor

I have a 1994 audi 80 tdi. We have swaped the engine to a PD130 and installed a quattro 6 speed gearbox (HCG). That gearbox does not have the speed sensor. How can i have a speed sensor installed?

Gearbox is 02X - I have a solution for 0A3 which has similar problem with no VSS sensor. It uses a hall effect sensor and trigger ring on the front driveshaft.
I'm sure something very similar is possible for the 02X - if you send me a picture of the gearbox front differential cover and measure the PCD of the front output flange I can tell you if my 0A3 kit will work, or if not what can be done to make a solution.

I installed the trigger ring on the rear drive shaft but the speedometer reading was too high! It has 8 reading points "metal teeth", but the speed reading is very high. I placed 8 metal reading points because my original gearbox (audi 80 tdi) had an internal magnetic drive gear that made 8 pulses per revolution.
Any thoughts?

Lol. Yes it’s because propshaft spins 4.111 x faster than the driveshafts - the driveshaft speed is a product of the diff ratio - don’t try to reinvent the wheel!

No ABS uses a VR sensor.
