The first issue I have with the existing mounting is the diff can move up and down, front to rear and side to side its about 10mm at present. I am not sure of how much movement is allowed can anyone offer an opinion? the mounting rubber still looks ok.

The next issue is the spacing of the bush relative to the position of the mounting bracket. As you can see in the picture there is a difference of about 3 to 4mm looking from the rear of the mounting the left side is closer than the right side.

I am concerned that if I use the poly bush it will be pushing the diff to the right as you look at the mounting and thus cause addition force pushing the diff out of its present position.

I am also concerned as to why is there a difference in the gap and can it be corrected?

I was thinking of backing off the diff side mountings then fit the diff center poly bush allowing it to center itself and then securing the diff side mountings. Does anybody know if there is sufficient movement in the side mountings to do that?

Very nice job on the prop!

Suspect if I get mine balanced it will be a similar amount out, so will be swapping it out soon for the spare.

For the rear diff mount, I reckon the bush was just installed slightly off-centre, it won't harm at all if you just shove there poly bush in there. Loosening the other mounts are likely to be needed anyway, just to get proper access to get the old one out. Are you sure it has failed? It should be able to move, 10mm up and down sounds about right to me with the stock one in there.

That said, they are a pig to get into the subframe after, and I ran one for a while and since gone back to rubber, with no difference in tautness noticed, just less noise.

I am not sure if the bush installed has gone so I am a bit reluctant to blindly just change it. Which rubber mounting did you use? for my needs I think less noise would be better.

The spare diff I bought came with one fitted, that was clearly new, so I just bolted that one up after painting, so I don't know the make....

My experience says these guys sell reasonable gear: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303935443...sAAOSw5rdeEhVK
