    034 short shifter

    Has anyone tried this (https://store.034motorsport.com/012-...urs4-urs6.html)
short shifter in their 6 speed s2 avant? 034 told me it’ll work in the car but I want to be sure before I buy it. I’m favoring this shifter over their other option so I can keep the reverse lockout, I’ve heard of others modifying the other version to keep the reverse lockout but I haven’t seen a guide on that yet.

I believe you can use the Mk1 golf short shifter with slight modifications for use of 6spd

Very strange, as only by looking at the shifter diagram is visible that this one won't work, and I have confirmed that with 034:

After discussing this with my Engineering Team, they have confirmed that SKU: 034-508-0000 would not be compatible with your application.
They mentioned that the RS2 and S2 use the same style shifter as the 80/90/CQ, and you would require SKU: 034-508-0001 instead.

I wouldn't trust anything 034 either what the owner says or their products. Everything I've seen has had issues and speaking with javad wasn't a nice conversation.

Whatever I bought from 034 was not a good fit, poor quality, or just didn’t work right. It’s a place for half baked items.

hmmm sounds strange what you say... I've been ordering slight stuff from 034 and all went ok..
and another short shifter 034-508-0000 for 01E on Audi V8 worked out very well as described by 034.

            P.S. one more confirmation from 034 ( Scott ):
After double-checking on this with my Engineering Team, they can confirm that 034-508-0001 is indeed compatible with your application.

nope, that was the kit for the 4000/etc on a 016 box

The 034Motorsport short shift kit 012/016/01E transmissions is simply THE short shift solution on the market at the lowest price. Rarely do those two claims work together with an aftermarket Audi part. These CAD-designed shifters are crafted from a mix of billet stainless steel, aluminum, and brass and are CNC-machined locally here in the USA. The kit includes all required parts and hardware.
