  • AAN auto crank trouble

    Hello all,

I have a UrS4 AAN auto swap engine and want to fix a 3B pilot bearing flywheel.

Unfortunately there is a bushing for the torque converter in the crank, how can I remove it?

    Thank you in advance!

I hava made a puller. First you make thread in it. Wind threaded bar into it. Next you bolt thick plate with hole for the bar to the flywheel bolts (with washers), and pull bar with the nut. Comes really easy. If not - check your system. I used old flywheel bolts, because I had new ones waiting.

I've always removed that bush by hydraulic pressure.

You need a steel dowel / drift that is just the right size to pass through the bush.

Carefully pack the bush with grease

Insert the drift into the bush, and beat it with a hammer. The pressure created by the grease blows the bush out.

You may need to re-pack the bush with grease a few times, as some escapes, but works a treat.
