  • Inner CV gasket(s)

In the process of changing a front inner CV.
The new CV came with one gasket, and according to ETKA that's ok,
    but,
is it really only gasket between the CV-joint and the gearbox flange, NOT between the the CV-boot (X) and CV-joint (Y) ?

Correct. The boot on the inner cv's are bonded to a metal sleeve which is clamped to the cv with the screws.

Yep, but no gasket or sealing needed between the metal sleeve (X) and the cv (Y) ?

There's only one gasket as per the diagram.

Yep, "as per the diagram", that's why I asked ... No need for any sealing between X and Y in above image ?

That's right, no sealant between X and Y, just a dry fit held in place with xzn head bolts as Dave mentions.
