Honestly i never doubted the 172hp, mind you only thing i have to go on is other cars i can keep up with or pull away from. Not very scientific i admit

Car had been very well looked after in its past life, and clocked up mileage quickly. It had done 185k when it was 5 years old so i assume they were all motorway miles. Compression is still good and i had rebuilt the head, only issue is the oil pressure slowly dropping with age. Its down to about 1.2 bar @idle when the oil temp gets over 100c.

Is there any reason why a dyno cant accurately measure the loss, i thought the initial run through the gears and then coasting was how they measured it?

    Cheers,

    Mark.

Took my stock CQ 20v on the dyno. (354000km) I think that 90.4kW at the wheels is OK.
