I have a quite bad rear diff oil leak on one of my ABY S2s. Specifically, according to the MOT tester "from diff lock actuator lever bellows" - any advice out there for what seal this is likely to be and better yet a part number for same?

Interestingly I need one of these too, I placed an order with AT and heard nothing and my order simply showed as being processed. However they have today replied saying they won’t sell to private individuals and to contact my local dealers..
I run a small VAG business and had submitted my VAT number in the order. I naturally tried TPS first and got the standard reply, NLAComment

Same thing here. Run a company and have a VAT and EORI number and nothing doing. I now just use the wonderful forum group purchase run by ColesyInterestingly I need one of these too, I placed an order with AT and heard nothing and my order simply showed as being processed. Why? I’ve ordered before no issues, crasher, I assume still runs C&R and posts suggest has placed ordersComment

I don’t have any problems buying from Tradition, except their painful postage price; if it wasn’t for them the S2 I have just about finished would have been impossible. VW Classic have come to the rescue a few times as well such as a new headlight washer relay.Comment

Bizarre policies, a few years back AT supplied a newly made boot harness for my S2 , it was reasonably priced and turned up quickly.
Steve can I ask the next time you place an order could I order a diff bellows seal and happily help spread the postage costs.. most garages aren’t interested in working on old VAG cars and by old I mean much over 10 years.Comment

I prefer working on older, much older, cars as modern cars are crap, the Golf 8 is a joke. The only downside is parts availability which has become much worse since Brexit. VW used to offer a range of exchange reconditioned parts but since Brexit this has virtually ceased and they say it is because the UK’s and Germany’s environmental standards no longer align; I bet I know who thinks theirs is better

Me too, but as you say spending ages tracing hard to find parts is a pain, having to battle AT tradition when you just want to spend money seems a little backward.Comment
