Just recently my car has developed a rather nasty vibration at around 80mph. It feels like it is coming from the back end. I dont think it is anything to do with the wheels as I have tried the spare on the back, with no change.

wife in boot? (sorry that's not very valuable input)
Have you had it up on ramps to go over everything in sight to check nothing obvious is loose? Given the rear wheels a good tugging to see if you can find a bearing problem? Do you just get a vibration or a humming sound (often a sign of bearing probs)

Cheers for the input guys. I have just recently taken the subframe off to paint, and also fit ally mounts (the problme was there before this). The diff bushes looked ok, although I might replace as a matter of course.
I did wonder about the wheel bearing, as one of them was humming a bit.
It is less of a vibration now, and more of a knocking on overun.
