audi V8 AWW 5 speed trans

Somebodi from you guys has used an V8 transmision in S2 or Coupe cars? I am intrested in what suports I have to use to fit that one in my coupe. The S2 6 speed transmision, the ARV transmision, or some others?

i have the same question as Eugen. V8 transmission AWW 5 speed on a 80 Saloon? it is possible?

Just asked friend about it.

AWW comes from 016 gearbox family, same like old Coupe quattro B2 ones.

Gearbox is longer than ARV (01A family). Similar lenght like CGR (and other 01E). Also shifter is similar to 01E and different to 01A - sided, ARV has it in the back.

There's one good news, AWW has oil cooler

and this oil cooler how will fit on audi 80? y found an audi V8, from 1989 with 3B modified engine, AWW 5 speed gearbox (just say all car with 1000 euro). Two important rabbit shot: engine and gearbox. rest: hubs for 5x112, some V8 seats, maybe torsen. This price is fair or less than 1000 e?

the car i didn`t buy until now, just make some research and if she worth, is mine .

found an audi V8, from 1989 with 3B modified engine, AWW 5 speed gearbox

V8'89 had only V8 3.6 engine (code PT). Code 3B engine was in that year Audi 200 Turbo Quattro.
AWW 5 speed gearbox was only in V8, so most likely you have found Audi V8 with engine swap to 3B.

last i heard there were only 110 v8q 5 speeds produced. 50-55 are in north america.... i that is true. pretty rare swap car

I had that gearbox with the 3B engine on my car before starting the new project.
I had to modify the tunnel on the right side to fit the gearbox oil pump...and the driveshafts lenghts are also different iff i remember corectly.
But i used that combo for some KM..no problem with the box.

Pirvu, what kind of needle bearind did You use? I'm trying to mount AWW gearbox to AAN engine, but have problem to match the needle bearing
