Someone here must know, or have pics on how the S2 6-speed shift linkage attaches to the transmission. What holds the ball on the transmission in the cup on the linkage? Anybody, anybody? Thanks for any help.

There are 2 attachments to the box. One has a piece that that ball sits into and attaches to the box via a 13mm nut. The other piece attaches to a plate bolted to the top of the box. Its usually held on by a 10mm nut dependind on year of car etc.
The ball just pushes into the socket. It normally has a rubber boot around it with a circlip type of fixing. Once bolted together however it doesnt fall out anyway
