so is it complatible with s2 aby gearbox?
is this gearbox stronger as aby has?

I'd say its an early 01E at that age so isn't gonna have stronger 1st gear like CRB and late CGR. However - could be a good spare box if the price and condition is OK.
What is the code number on that box - I can use it to determine ratios - not all 01Es have the same set of cogs... Some diesels are especially strange and some even have different F/R from the 4.111 on the S2.
well i made small "research" about urs4 4.2 gearbox. according to audi publications this gearbox should have code: CMG.
It has also different ratings as s2 gearbox and strong and wide first gear :mischeif:
Also there should be oil pump in gearbox and oil radiator to cooling gearbox oil
