Yup it was loud bum in a second gear and after that only had 3 and 4 gears. Still do not understand why it blow in second and first is gone. I have blown up 5 01A so far, now 1wide gear 01E is in a car hopefully tomorrow will make shifter work, and it will stay together longer then couple runs down the street.

So far have 5K on south bend clutch, no slipping at all, braking 01A left and right. With SPEC 01A was staying together because of slipping. I say SB checkmate SPEC in a second

Have a read of Spec's Warranty Information. It says it all really.

Will be taking the gearbox out early next year to fit an LSD, so if the clutch is still alive, with take it out and inspect it.

I have a spec stage 4 clutch in my golf. done 425miles so far, but it grips ok. I run steel flywheel, ally flywheels are, in my opinion shlte. the dont get rid of heat from the clutch.

The stage 4 clutch is very on/off but it is taking the torque. Time will tell as boost is about to get turned up on saturday when Doug and I do some more mapping, only running 1 bar for running in.

also im running mine with stock dual mass flywheel setup.i dont know if it has anything to do with it,but i read somewhere that the dual mass, tends to absorb more stress from the disc, thus allowing the disc not to be overheated or warped..seems logical

well a rough assesment is that 467at the wheels means 580 at the flywheel.when i bought spec 3+ it was rated at 550hp but at the 034 web site it never mentioned if it was wheel power or flywheel power.I always concider this as flywheel just to be sure.

now im running a setup that is close to 400hp flywheel and possible in a little while will be 420hp meaning that it will not be more than 350wheel power. This is far away from the power that the stage 3+can handle.
Up to now, other than the jerky movement as others have mentioned above i see no problems with the spec so far.
If they do come up,then sachs organic will be my choise which are said to handle 52Nm of torgue(accordiing to sachs) but they seem to handle more than that.

Here is what Spec say about the stage 3+click , they call it a carbon metallic friction material BTW. They used to say, on 034 site, "you will not blow this clutch" or something like that, that claim is now gone..
