    Clutch Master Cylinder Pics

A replacement master cylinder has sorted my cluch problems.
Mr Mechanic (David Philips, Edinburgh, highly recommended) said that as soon as he took the old master cylinder out it leaked some fluid out the wrong side. Looks like the seal was bust.

The rod was completely disconnected from the piston, and as soon as I removed the rubber damper, the piston freely came out.

Thanks for all the help and advice.

Glad to hear you sorted it out in the end.

    Cheers.

Out of interest, how much is a new master cylinder? Congrats on getting it fixed.

That's a tidy saving you made the MC.

Ok, wasn't a bent rod, but still going to pat myself on the back for being the closest

Not a bad price John, I paid £124 for the one I replaced on the car, and £109 for the spare I bought in case they go NLA.
