rs4 torsen good or bad upgrade?

it change the 2wd (??)to a quicker 4x4 drive. its the only change
read: it will feel like you have a reardriven car; but you have 4x4( quattro)

This is what interests me, the first 016's used in the rally cars were running 4.11 finals. Some ran with 4.52's.
They were always on lock by placing a rod in the actuator and bolting a plate over it.

Later they went to 4.86 finals and got rid of the center diff and went to a straight shaft.

Now this would hanndle like a bitch on the track?

Won't this cause the rear diff to fail sooner ?
I guess a rear diff upgrade would be needed aswell ?

My rear diff is equiped with V8 tosen. I have cooling for gearbox and for the rear diff i have temp sensor with posibility for cooling.

You can make search for RS4 B7 and you will find news on the improved torsen.

This has been covered before under threads search for "stasis"

The main problem is that on the S2 and RS2 boxes you haev to take apart the whole gearbox to perform this upgrade

On the DSY / EDU you can take the torsen of seperately.

This is what I have been told when I emailed them.

I took out the torsen diff form ABY gearbox and it took only 6 or 8 screws on the back end of the gearbox to take it out.

The V8 torsen is weaker than the standard S2? well Audiman seems to proven this in fashion
