ok... I'm stucked again with engine and tranny ANYBODY HEEEEELP!

guys...as you know I'm doing the AAN transplant to my Coupe Quattro. I have a 01E 6speed transmission from a 93' UrS4. OK, here I come again...

My stock 01A tranny has an electronic speed sender to the cluster. The 01E (S4's one) has the cable sender or mechanic sender. Could I change the diff plates and put the stock plate with the electronic sendr to the 01E tranny? Which one of you has done this tranny conversion and how did you resolved it???

The other thing is tha the lenght of the 01E tranny is the same as the 01A? I mean...is a direct swap with no mods?

The engine trouble will be posted at the Engine thread! Guys please help me a little... I'm doing this alone :S

i actually think the s4 6speed tranny is a little shorter than the 01a tranny.

Is a special sensor mounted on top off what you have on the trany...
I have somewhere the pn. for that sensor.
About the lenght...The 6 speed has same lenght with 5 speed 016. and longer then ARV 5 speed box mounted on 3B engined S2.

You will need an shorter propshaft for the 6 speed....

and 2 pc of right propshafts for the front end( remember the front an rear for vw and audi are 3pc unit.you use some wood and a heavy hammer

a shorter propellershaft??? hey but... are you talking about the left and right proppelershafts? or the rear one that goes to the diff? guys sorry me but I don't get that...! please explain me that!!!

Fu%#! the driveshaft! Well at least the front driveshashaft are the same... Do you know how much do I have to shorten that from the tranny-diff???
