Noises!
Help required advising on potential gearbox issue/s .
At idle there is a low frequency noise. Disappears as soon as you move off . Doesn't change if you have the car at rest in neutral with clutch in or out , or in gear .
Any ideas - car's done 135k mls
Also how do you diagnose worn CV joints ?
Have a tick,tick tick noise that is speed related .
Also a rumble ( like from the tyre wear bars , but tyres are ok )
that is speed related - doesn't matter if you are in/out of gear , on load or on coast particulary badat 35-40mph and load from there on .
