  • differential strenght?

I'm putting 225/45/17 wheel on my car and I was wondering if it stresses my cars back differential when I accelearate from standstill? With 205/55/16 I have had no problems to accelerate - all the wheels have wheelspin and it doesn't stesses the differentials so much. But I'm afraid that I will not have wheelspin with 17'' rims so how obviously will I brake my cars differential?

In summer here are many accelerating competitions I want to take part of but I think I will get better times with 16'' wheels than 17''?

I wouldnt worry, the rolling radius of the wheels is almost identical so shouldnt put any extra stress onto the differential.

But if you have an early 6 speed box the first gear cog is weak.
