    Clutch advice needed....

having had my avant for a few weeks now the clutch biting point is getting higher...
so I'm looking out for a replacement....

any ideas?....and what else can be done while in amongst the tricky to reach parts??..
    (flywheel upgrade etc...)

    Thanks for any help/advice given...

Single mass flywheel with OEM 3B clutch. I'm running this and it makes a difference to top end, give approx 500rpm more than DM and marginally better acceleration. You do lose some of the smoothness of the DM but it's worth it IMHO.

Conversion will cost about £200 in parts (clutch is £150, £30 for SM FW and £20 for bolts) plus labour. Be careful of the 'box locating dowels and you might need to move the engine and box back a little on the engine mounts or modify the 'box mounts.

There are a couple of sticky threads with what you'll need. OEM clutch is fine with 300bhp / 320ftlbs on mine. I'd suggest you get the FW skimmed and balanced, I didn't and I regret it as there is a very slight clutch judder. Hopefully some 1//4 mile launches will solve that though!
