You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Could be literally hundreds of things. First thing to do it have a poke about (after removing the undertray and see if there is anything obvious going on....

Heat shields are always a good place to start, i had this noise every time i turned the car off.
Turned out to be h/s mount's around the cat area had corroded.

i have a makeshift alloy heat shield between the exhaust and inlet manifolds.
probably just wishful thinking it would be that simple but i hope so.
interestingly the prop shaft was replaced in 2005 with a brand new item.. even still has stickers on it
dunno if that helps eliminate a prop shaft issue. dunno.

I got a rattle at low speed when my clutch release bearing plastic face broke off. only happend between 1500 and 2750 rpm. woz a real PITA drove me mad!
