I don't use it as a cheap alternative. Redline oil is just about the best transmission oil money can buy. The MT-90 stuff is probably better for the synchros whilst still giving a better shift than the generic OEM stuff.
I definately noticed an improvement but then i was comparing to old oil.
Anyone else confirm this or am i talking bull?Comment

Erm, I wasn't commenting on your use of redline products, I am aware that they make perfectly good transmission and other fluids. I merely commented that I have replaced my oil with the correct OEM stuff from VAG stuff and it's fine. If I were to do more track work then I'd use a thicker aftermarket alternative.

I try the oil that Ferrari uses fro their gearboxes wich is Shell and the gearbox was crap...
Then Castrol (don't remember the name but anyway the best from their range)
Gearbox was crap still....
The original from Audi it's in now and gearbox it's just perfect.
