Gear selector slack on 2.6 V6

Hi!

I have a fair old bit of play in my gear lever.

Before I go splashing out yet more money on her,I need some advice.

Can I just change the bushes or is it a case of forking out £80 for the linkage?

Ive got advice from Acidburn and it looks like its the £80 or put up with it!

Just wondered if anyone knows any different as its a lot for this kind of part,like Audi parts are!!

i need to do sort this out too mate, mine is like stirring a soup bowl

trouble is as Pete said its the linkage joint thats worn.
I tried replacing the bush but it only reduced play a litle bit.
by the look of it its a gearbox off job aswell
