I guess you're not running dual mass flywheel, but based on my experience on replacing my clutch twice in my ABY 6 speed with dual mass flywheel due to pressure plate failure, this is one occassion where I'd recommend going to the Audi dealer. The added bonus is that pressure plates are now exchange at the Dealers and mine cost me around 75 pounds.
Pressure plate before that was Sachs and lasted 50,000 miles before failing...........
