What kind of noise does a shot Driveshaft CV joint make?

I'm not sure but I can hear some sort of hum coming from down there. It is the only component I did not change when I overhauled the driveshaft.

Humming noise generally indicate a wheel bearing.

I have experienced in the past tyre noise as well though.

CV Joints tend to make a knocking noise if worn.

Tick tick tick tick tick tick.....

Hum hum sounds more like a wheel bearing. Does the noise change when you steer or brake?

      Cheers,

      Steve.

sounds like wheel bearing to me does it get louder when you steer and put weight on it.
